Iracauba entity encounter — July 16, 1978

This short Brazilian report is usually catalogued under July 16, 1978, at night, with witnesses identified only as J. R. B. and his family. They reportedly watched a metallic object shaped like a dome descend or land in a field. A single short humanlike figure briefly appeared outside it. The few recorded appearance details are greenish skin and unusually large oval eyes. The figure then returned inside, after which the object allegedly departed. The available narrative does not describe conversation, an approach to the witnesses, collecting samples or physical contact. Nor does it establish the family’s exact size, the figure’s clothing, a landing-gear arrangement or detailed propulsion features. Those gaps should remain gaps rather than being filled with familiar alien imagery. Later summaries cite the Brazilian group GEPUC through Albert Rosales’s catalogue. A separate list attributed to Antonio Faleiro gives July 25 and the spelling Iraçauba in Ceará, while another source comparison suggests Iracuba in Maranhão. The precise locality and day therefore remain unsettled. No original investigation file or authenticated photograph was located in this review. The illustration uses July 1978 and a contextual rural setting, preserving the reported dome, family observation and brief greenish figure without asserting an exact location or detailed anatomy.
