Leme unidentified-object report — December 3, 1978
Leme, Brazil

Case description
The Leme report is dated December 3, 1978, during the evening or night. Its central claim is that a brightly illuminated, globular object passed at low altitude over the area. Through a relatively large opening, observers reportedly saw several figures moving inside. The short narrative describes an aerial passage rather than a landing or an encounter with beings on the ground.
No reliable details of the figures’ height, faces, clothing or behaviour beyond movement are supplied. Nor does the accessible account identify how many people watched, where they stood, how long the observation lasted or whether the opening was a window or an unobstructed hatch. The reported occupants provide the catalogue’s reason for an entity classification; they do not justify assigning a familiar alien body type or inventing communication with the witnesses.
Rosales and Antonio Faleiro trace the entry to the Brazilian group GEPUC, but the underlying report or interview is not reproduced. A geographic discrepancy also survives: Faleiro labels the locality Leme-SP, pointing to São Paulo state, while Patrick Gross’s catalogue header places it in Rio de Janeiro. The Atlas therefore retains the native Leme label without silently choosing a state. No landing traces, photographs, medical effects or taking aboard can be added from the available material.
