Case description
A much later catalogue story assigns a purported crash discovery to 6 December 1978 in the remote Amur taiga, between the Urkan and Tyndoy rivers. An apparently damaged metallic object was said to resemble a mushroom, approximately five and a half to six metres across and three metres tall. The story even gives a weight of 720 kilograms, but supplies no accessible measurement record or named discovery witness.
It alleges that a short humanoid was found inside and that the object was taken to the Akademgorodok area of Novosibirsk. According to the same narrative, the occupant initially showed signs of life, remained unconscious for about two weeks, then died and was examined. A segmented opening was interpreted as evidence that other crew had escaped. That last inference does not amount to a witnessed escape or a documented additional occupant.
Patrick Gross traces the accessible account through Albert Rosales to Anton “Cade” Belousov’s Soviet X Files List, with the first certain catalogue record decades after the assigned event. He found no properly referenced primary report, witness identification or investigation. His suggested magazine-invention explanation remains an evaluation rather than a demonstrated confession. The retrieval, medical and transport claims should all be presented as an unsupported story.
