Burghausen, Bavaria disc-shaped object report — December 12, 1978

At about eight on the morning of December 12, 1978, Adele Holzer was driving from Neuötting toward work in Burghausen when she noticed a bright white disc. The fuller account locates her near Emmerting and the Alzkanal bridge. Curious enough to stop despite running late, she pulled into a parking area and watched the object approach silently above the trees. Holzer described a hemispherical form with green illuminated ports around its edge. She said it tilted after she thought about wanting to see underneath, revealing three rounded projections, the middle one larger, and an orange central spot. Six green beams reportedly extended from the object; she associated one with a sensation of slight paralysis and said she lost track of time. The object then rose silently away. Her watch had stopped at 8:01 and she reported finding her ignition key bent. Later accounts add an impression of telepathic contact and a message about peaceful intentions and preventing humanity from destroying Earth. No visible occupants were described.
