Case description
Late on January 3, 1979, Meagan Quezet and her twelve-year-old son André went outside in Mindalore, near Krugersdorp, South Africa, after the family dog became excited. They reported a pinkish light coming from a gray object standing on four jointed legs. Accounts compare its shape with an upright egg or a bullet.
The pair described several short, human-looking occupants beside it. The figures wore pale overalls or suits, and one removed a helmet. Meagan said that a dark-haired, bearded figure approached, bowed and spoke in a language she could not understand. She became uneasy and told André to fetch his father. The occupants subsequently reentered the object, which departed.
Later, during hypnosis with Bernard Levinson, Quezet described additional scenes involving English-language communication, an invitation to enter and an attempted or remembered boarding. Those scenes emerged later than the encounter she and her son initially described. Cynthia Hind investigated the case, and it appeared in the MUFON UFO Journal and later compilations.
