Cornwall County unidentified-object report — January 29, 1979

During the early hours of 29 January 1979, a married couple at Bissoe near Truro reportedly awoke to unusually bright light in their bedroom. In the catalogue version, one looked outside and saw a luminous oval object hovering nearby. Two human-looking men with long, fair, wavy hair could be seen inside. The object moved away silently and was subsequently described as accelerating out of sight. That version is attributed to Bob Boyd and the Plymouth UFO Research Group. A later account reproduced by INTCAT, citing Margaret Fry and Joan Amos, gives a 39-year-old scrap dealer and his pregnant wife. It places a luminous sphere on the opposite road and the two blond men beside it. The husband allegedly felt an invitation to join them, while his wife held onto him. These additions belong to that retelling and should not be silently treated as identical observations. The central overlap is a night-time awakening, bright nearby object and two apparently human blond figures. Their location inside or outside, the object’s shape and the perceived message vary. The material reviewed does not establish physical contact, a departure from the bedroom or an abduction.
