Case description
The NICAP-derived record dates this incident to the afternoon of 19 May 1979 at Bukit Mertajam, Penang. Six schoolchildren reportedly encountered a miniature landed disc and four extraordinarily small figures at Jit Sin Primary School. The beings were estimated at only three or four inches tall. Later descriptions give green uniforms and white headgear; a contemporary Malaysian survey describes the general clothing as one-piece suits.
According to the story, a boy tried to catch one figure and experienced a painful shot or beam to his hand. The figure also fired at a brick. After the occupants returned inside, another pupil grabbed the little object but let go after an electric-shock sensation. It then departed, reportedly disturbing leaves. A 21-year-old nearby basketball player, identified in later cataloguing as Raymond Liang, was said to have approached during the commotion.
Ahmad Jamaludin included the event in his Malaysian case survey. Accounts vary over May 19 versus May 20, the exact height, the arm effect and how much the older witness saw. Similar schoolyard stories circulated in Malaysia in 1970 and 1973, but their costume and injury details cannot automatically be assigned here. The surviving material does not provide independent medical confirmation or establish the mechanism of the claimed effects. The plate shows the encounter before physical contact.
