Case description
Lilli-Ann Karlsson reportedly experienced this encounter at about 1 a.m. on December 4, 1979, in the Brevik Hills recreation area near Västervik, Sweden. While walking, she said she suddenly became unable to move and noticed a luminous object hovering low ahead of her. The available narrative does not give a dependable detailed craft shape.
Two thin humanlike figures about five feet tall appeared from behind the object. Karlsson felt, without initially hearing words, that they were discussing her. She then perceived a reassuring voice. The figures approached, and one extended a hand, but she reportedly remained immobilized. They subsequently turned back and disappeared behind the object. Smoke or vapour appeared underneath it, after which it was suddenly no longer visible.
The source comparison cites Tor Wiklund’s investigation in 1979 or 1980 and later discussion by Robert Bartholomew and George Howard. It records no photographs, witness-approved drawing or detailed description of faces, skin or clothing. The experience was reported as real by the witness, but her feeling of paralysis and perceived communication do not independently identify its cause. The plate therefore uses backlit humanlike forms and an indistinct luminous object, showing a safe exterior moment rather than inventing familiar alien anatomy or physical restraint.
