Case description
This entry concerns the eastern Texas mother-and-child account usually catalogued under Meagan Elliott and her eighteen-month-old daughter, Renee. Around midnight in August 1980, the mother reportedly experienced radio and lighting failure, a loud electrical noise and the sensation that her car was being lifted toward a circular object. Catalogues differ between August 21 and the early hours of August 22; the plate consequently uses the month.
Her account places the car inside a large, brightly lit circular room. A short, putty-coloured humanoid with a large hairless head, oval eyes, a broad nose and a small mouth approached through floor-level mist. The subsequent narrative describes examination rooms and two additional beings. It also includes a period that felt much longer than the several hours missing from the journey, before mother and child were returned with the car farther along the road.
Lew Willis and other MUFON investigators investigated, and Dr. Stephen Clark used hypnosis. Thomas Bullard's catalogue records that investigation and the published January 1982 MUFON report; the elaborate onboard narrative is testimony, not an independently documented journey. The plate shows a calm, fully clothed mother and child with reported beings inside the craft, omitting procedures and distress.
