Case description

A woman had just parked in the lot at her apartment building in Auburn, Washington, on February 10, 1981, when she noticed a huge illuminated object. A ring of flashing lights ran around it. The large object moved away, but the encounter did not end there. A second, smaller craft appeared and descended with a rocking, falling-leaf motion. The brief report does not provide the size or shape of that second object beyond its being smaller. The woman subsequently recalled abduction experiences associated with the encounter. NICAP's surviving synopsis does not specify when or how those memories developed, describe the occupants or preserve an onboard and return sequence. The directly described chronology is her arrival at the parking lot, observation of the large lighted object, its departure and the smaller object's descent.

The programme locates Kathy’s encounter in Renton and identifies its reporting newspaper in Auburn; the Atlas retains the Auburn catalogue label. NICAP digest separates departinglargecraft andsecondsmallerdescent; film narrates one continuingcraft. Same date/apartment/flashingring/falling-leaf sequence supports story identity, while craftcount/size and Auburn-versus-Renton locality differences remain explicit. Hypnotic details are later recollections.
