Case description
Maurizio Cavallo dates the beginning of his alleged encounters to the night of 12–13 September 1981 in the Monferrato hills near Trino Vercellese, Italy. In his later interview with Paola Harris, he said friends accompanied the initial walk after dinner. They watched a fiery globe descend behind trees but abandoned their search. This differs from the simplified catalogue sequence, which presents the first exploration as his solitary excursion.
Back home, he said he became feverish, could not sleep and experienced an internal command to return. The catalogue places that return near 3 a.m. It describes a reddish-orange light, an impression of levitation, then recollection of being inside a sphere. A metallic-sounding mental voice reassured him. A tall woman called Ciama allegedly appeared, with black hair in a bun, obliquely shaped eyes, no fingernails, a long sleeveless garment and white boots. She claimed to come from Clarion.
Cavallo explicitly called the experience involuntary in the Harris interview and said he spoke publicly after eleven years. The detailed Ciama description comes through a separate catalogue citation to Moreno Tambellini. Neither source establishes independent confirmation of the journey or the claimed planet. The date spans midnight; the later family and cosmological claims are separate from this opening encounter.
