Case description
The Esengul entry is a crash-and-retrieval story dated November 9, 1981, near Lake Zaysan in Kazakhstan, then part of the Soviet Union. It describes a large green, boat-shaped object with an open cabin or hatch. Four humanlike occupants wearing green coveralls were supposedly visible inside before the object struck the lake.
The expanded version goes beyond the impact, claiming local residents found fragments, alerted militia and were subsequently visited by investigators from Alma-Ata. It alleges that material and occupant remains were taken to a concealed facility in Moscow and that residents were told a foreign reconnaissance aircraft had crashed. These are claims within the story, not independently established facts about an official recovery operation.
The accessible publication chain leads to a list attributed to Anton “Cade” Belousov, often called Soviet X Files, and later Rosales/NICAP compilations. No named firsthand witness, contemporary incident report, identifiable recovery documentation or authenticated photograph was located here. Catalogue reliability scores do not substitute for such evidence. The precise settlement and location also remain insufficiently documented. The plate is explicitly contextual and shows a quiet lake scene with a simple boatlike craft and indistinct occupants before the alleged impact, omitting injury, remains and an invented secret laboratory.
