San Luis Del Palmar unidentified-object report — December 15, 1981

On December 15, 1981, provincial road-service driver Rubén Meneses reportedly encountered an intensely luminous object while travelling by dump truck in Corrientes, near the San Luis del Palmar–Paso de la Patria area. His truck vibrated, he felt tingling and could not control its movement. He described the vehicle rising and its floor becoming transparent before he lost awareness. Francisco Villagrán’s later account identifies a yellow Dodge truck and places the beginning around 3:30 p.m.; NICAP instead prints 3:30 a.m. Meneses subsequently found himself driving near Berón de Astrada, unable to explain the intervening journey. Sources give differing distances, approximately 55 miles or 110 kilometres. Reports describe him reaching police in a severely distressed condition and receiving hospital care, including for light sensitivity. Those reported aftereffects document the aftermath claimed by the witness, without independently establishing aerial transport. The occupant story requires separate treatment. Press-derived summaries mention a small, thin, long-armed being with a wrinkled forehead in a metallic interior. Rosales’s version explicitly assigns fuller room details and three short, dark-grey humanoids to later hypnotic regression. Claimed communication was mental rather than spoken. Because the sources do not clearly separate every initial recollection from later regression material, the Atlas labels the interior account accordingly. Reported ground traces elsewhere in Corrientes have no established connection to his truck encounter.
