Voronezh entity encounter — 1982

This account is dated only to 1982, near Voronezh, Russia, and should not be confused with the much better publicised September 1989 park story. Two militia sergeants were reportedly driving a UAZ-469 patrol vehicle ten to fifteen kilometres outside the city after 10 p.m. when a brilliant beam appeared to scan the ground. One officer stepped out as a large object landed in a field. The later published description calls it a lenticular disc with a shallow upper dome and bright rectangular windows. Its very large quoted dimensions are witness estimates, not surveyed measurements. A hatch opened and several figures, estimated at three to four metres tall, walked into the field and then returned aboard before the object departed. The account says the officers became confused, returned to their barracks speaking with a stutter, tested negative for alcohol and were referred to a psychiatric hospital. These claims appear through a 1990 Voronezh research-group book and material attributed to reporter Nikolay Varsegov; no named officers or original clinical records accompany the available summary. The illustration keeps both officers, their patrol vehicle, the distant tall figures and disc together, while preserving year-only date precision.
