Case description
NICAP’s catalogue places Barbara Warmoth’s report in New York City at about 2 a.m. on February 15, 1982. In that version, a brilliant light woke her and filled the bedroom. Looking outside, she reportedly saw a luminous disc hovering nearby. Her next remembered moment was approximately an hour and fifteen minutes later, with a recollection of communication interpreted as telepathic.
The identity and date require caution. INTCAT instead places a closely matching Barbara Warmoth story in Franklin, Ohio, on February 15, 1981. Its later details were said to have emerged under hypnosis. A Norwegian UFO publication issued in 1982 also identifies a Barbara Warmoth from Franklin and discusses hypnosis and claimed abduction experiences. This supports a real catalogue conflict; it does not prove that every version concerns one identical event.
The New York chronology cites a physiological-effects compilation quoting The News World of February 5, 1983, while INTCAT cites Brad Steiger. No original statement was located here that settles location, year or which details preceded hypnosis. The plate therefore shows only the common initial bedroom-light and disc observation, with both catalogue locations and the year range disclosed. It does not supply an invented appearance for a being whose visible features are absent from the reviewed account.
