Rio Negro Province unidentified-object report — February 19, 1982

On the night of February 19–20, 1982, orchard owner Juan Fattorell, 41, was driving home through Allen, Río Negro. His Renault 12 reportedly lost power near the old road to the orchards. About ten metres away he saw an unlit, aluminium-looking object, roughly two metres high and one and a half metres wide, bobbing half a metre above the road. He compared it to a Fiat 600 without its front section. A deep voice ordered him to get out, but he saw no occupant. Reaching toward the ignition, he experienced severe neck pain and lost consciousness. He recalled awakening outside near his car with impaired vision and eventually receiving help from an Alto Valle bus crew, gendarmes and Arroyito police before hospitalization. Alejandro Chionetti's investigation, reprinted from UFO Press 15, recorded later symptoms but did not establish their cause. It found an ordinary explanation for one alleged electrical failure and could not verify supporting sightings. Fattorell did not remember boarding. The reprint chiefly dates the incident February 19, but ends with February 16 and explicitly acknowledges other date variants; a precise transportation mechanism or independently documented journey remains unestablished.
