Case description
An unnamed woman’s account from Springfield, Missouri, is dated only to a night in March 1982. While driving, she reportedly lost control of the steering and felt her car being pulled or floated toward a light near treetop height. Her next remembered setting was a wooded clearing, with a silvery metallic disc standing on three legs nearby.
The fuller catalogue says a light illuminated her and folding steps descended. She described entering several rooms and lying on a padded platform of white, silver and chrome appearance. Six well-built, humanlike men then appeared, approximately six feet one inch tall, with long blond hair, high cheekbones and blue eyes. Their fitted brown jumpsuits had matching shoes and belts, pale-yellow fabric over one shoulder, and a winged bird-head emblem on the chest. She was subsequently led toward an exit, found herself back in her car, and watched the craft depart with a loud whistle.
NICAP attributes this narrative to Linda Moulton Howe’s Glimpses of Other Realities, volume I, through a humanoid catalogue entry. The accessible summary does not identify the woman, establish an exact day, or explain how every memory was obtained. Hypnosis and names such as Zeus or Zircon appear in a different nearby English case and must not be attached to Springfield.
