Around 7:15 p.m. on 1 April 1982, three witnesses in the North Washington area of Butler County, Pennsylvania reportedly observed a light that resolved into an unusual triangular object. NICAP's fuller chronology describes a reddish body with rounded corners and a light at each apex. A glittering haze appeared around it, seemingly issuing from the rear. Two glowing spheres reportedly emerged or separated from the main object and travelled in opposite directions, one north and the other south. The witnesses later complained of headaches.
