Case description
Around 4 a.m. on July 25, 1982, bullfighter Rafael Peralta was driving toward Punta Umbría, where his family was spending the summer. Near the coastal junction toward El Rompido and La Bota beach, he reportedly noticed red and yellow lights. Initially suspecting a road accident or unusual vehicle, he stopped to investigate.
The story describes a low silver object, often summarized as square or traylike, and a very tall metallic figure beside it. Height estimates vary from roughly 2.6 to three metres. A more detailed retelling gives a square head covered by metallic mesh, horizontal markings on the torso and long separated legs. Arms were either not visible or later described as absent. Peralta said it uttered a short guttural or metallic sound; he asked what it meant, received no clear answer, and watched the figure return to the object before departure.
The source trail includes August 1982 Huelva press coverage and subsequent interviews and books by Spanish UFO writers. A later summary substitutes a seven-foot silver-suited humanoid, illustrating how the appearance changed in retelling. No authenticated image or independent physical evidence was located in this review. The plate uses the better-specified robotic version, with mesh-covered head and no visible arms, while treating exact height, craft proportions and witness likeness as illustrative.
