Case description
A motorist near Girard, Pennsylvania, reported an unusual object above the trees along Interstate 90 during an evening in September 1982. The month is supplied without a defensible exact day. The imported digest describes a wedge-like body, triangular when viewed from below, and engine trouble as the object drew closer.
The fuller INTCAT entry adds a vertical wedge approximately 3.5 metres high, a silvery rounded device beneath it, red, white and green lights, and a purple pulsing glow underneath. The car reportedly misfired and stopped while its interior lights flashed. Through a window, the observer said he saw two figures in silvery suits making rapid, jerky movements, interpreted as operating controls. No detailed faces or nonhuman anatomy are supplied.
That version also mentions a passenger and says the object departed silently at a relatively slow speed. Its source trail runs through Francis Ridge’s chronology, Albert Rosales’s compilation and Andy Page. These linked summaries are not several independent investigations, and the available record does not include a named witness statement or vehicle test. The plate brings the car occupants, wedge-shaped object and two suited figures into one illustrative view, leaving facial features and exact engineering unspecified.
