Case description
The imported Macomer summary dates a brief woodland encounter to April 26, 1984, around 11 a.m. It describes two children seeing a helmeted humanoid west of Macomer, followed by a disc rising from the forest and leaving toward the east-northeast. An unusual silence and a duration of a few minutes are its main environmental details.
A fuller, later retelling attributed to CISU instead places the event at Monte San Antonio during a school picnic, around 10:45 a.m. In that version teacher Federico V. noticed a short, stocky figure behind bushes. Only its upper body was visible. A gray helmet, compared with a Roman soldier's, had short metallic projections and two round eye openings; the rest resembled a gray protective suit. A second observer, Aldo, attempted to use a camera. The figure made a writinglike movement across its other palm; lightheadedness interrupted the attempt. No photograph resulted. A whistling sound and a rapidly departing disc followed.
The two-children summary and teacher-and-companion narrative cannot be treated as identical witness lists without the underlying investigation. The plate uses the more detailed helmet description but explicitly labels its combined view of witnesses, being and craft as a composite of differing accounts. The disc's presence alongside the figure compresses successive reported moments; facial features, precise body shape and individual likenesses remain undocumented.
