Level Green spherical-object report — December 31, 1984

At approximately 6:10 p.m. on New Year's Eve 1984, a Level Green resident and his visiting sister reportedly heard tapping at a house window. The fuller account says they had been watching television when a bright red sphere, about basketball size, passed outside. As the man approached from his chair, the object turned upward, produced two brilliant white beams and sparks, and went over a neighbouring house. He went outdoors and switched on a light but saw nothing further. Shortly after returning inside, another tap drew attention to the window. The sphere had reportedly returned. They described two black lines forming a V, with a small round black dot between them. This arrangement gave an eye-like impression; it was not a described exposed biological eyeball with known anatomy. NICAP's chronology, citing the June 1985 MUFON UFO Journal, retains the window tapping, eye-like orb, departure and return. INTCAT supplies the more detailed sequence and markings. The original MUFON account uses the pseudonyms Mr Robinson and Mrs Jackson for the retired brother and sister. A measured trajectory or technical identification is not established. The encounter is preserved as a report of a small unusual object close to a home. No separate occupant, parent craft, message or physical contact with either person is described. The plate shows the second window appearance with the reported red sphere and simple dark markings, keeping its material and function uncertain.
