Case description
The compact database gives no date for this León-area report, but Ballester Olmos’s 1976 catalogue places it approximately in 1914 and explicitly calls both the year and locality imprecise. A young woman reportedly saw two men standing on a road. They carried silvery objects on their backs and subsequently flew away with the aid of those devices.
The catalogue adds that several other people in the area reportedly saw the same thing that day. It does not name the observers, establish that they watched from the same place, or give a detailed flight path. The devices are described only as silvery objects; their shape, operating principle, sound and construction are not supplied. They should not be turned into technically detailed modern jetpacks or an accompanying spacecraft.
The cited provenance is the Centro de Estudios Interplanetarios and Ballester’s files. This is a short historical account rather than a surviving technical investigation or contemporary photograph. The original catalogue improves the broad dating but does not justify a precise day, clock time, street address or witness count. The Atlas retains the report while distinguishing its modest source content from later labels suggesting extraterrestrial occupants.
