Case description
Jules Bouvier recalled meeting a small humanlike figure on a road at Toulx-Sainte-Croix, Creuse, in autumn around 1930 or later. He was returning toward the village between 21:00 and 22:00 on a clear night, approximately forty metres short of the uphill road to a hotel. A little man emerged from the ditch and crossed diagonally toward that junction.
Bouvier estimated the figure at less than 1.30 metres tall. It moved at an ordinary walking pace, but its legs appeared straight, together and motionless, as though it were sliding. On reaching the other side, it reportedly disappeared abruptly. The episode lasted no more than ten seconds and was silent. Distance prevented him from distinguishing facial or clothing details; a modern Grey appearance is not supported.
Jean Giraud, writing as Jean D’Aigure, published the recollection in Lumières dans la Nuit 130 in 1973, decades after the claimed event. The original wording allowed a year after 1930 and an uncertain autumn date; later listings sometimes incorrectly assign January. No spacecraft is described in this episode. Bouvier’s other reported experiences belong to different dates and do not establish a vehicle or independent corroboration here.
