Case description
The Wearyan River story concerns a nurse attending an injured man in remote northern Australia in February 1941. Keith Basterfield’s later research connects it with Sister Ruth Heathcock and her difficult journey to help Horace Foster. The historical rescue and the unusual helpers should be distinguished: documentation of the journey does not independently confirm the extraordinary portion.
The encounter tradition describes two humanlike men in white robes assisting with treatment and disappearing before they could be thanked. Later recollections associated with Heathcock use spiritual language about silent doctor-like helpers and golden hands. No craft, arrival from the sky, alien anatomy or advanced vehicle is reported. Its placement in an entity catalogue therefore does not turn it into a witnessed spacecraft landing.
Basterfield cites the Australian Saucer Record and later personal recollections; the source history remains incomplete. Foster’s rescue attempt is also recorded in Northern Territory historical material. The illustration shows nurse, covered patient, ordinary humanlike helpers and local companions, without inventing a spacecraft or depicting graphic treatment.
