Montecrestese, It being encounter — March 15, 1943

Angela recalled being six years old when she and her ten-year-old sister were tending a goat near their Montecrestese home on 15 or 16 March 1943. In a 1986 interview published by CISU, she described a loud overhead roar on a sunny afternoon, followed by a very small vehicle settling on a rocky slope above a bush. She remained frightened while her older sister approached. Two small human-looking figures reportedly stepped down and spoke to one another in an unintelligible, humanlike language. Angela remembered white coveralls and helmet-like headgear. The metallic green vehicle was only about two or three metres across, with two seats, an open arrangement she compared to a child’s go-kart, and a small light on one side. She could not specify its exact shape and later mentioned a transparent opening or windscreen. This is considerably less conventional than the Atlas’s simplified saucer description. Angela did not watch the departure and remembered no traces or reaction from the goat. She told her family much later after a television programme prompted the memory. Investigators could not obtain useful independent corroboration from her older sister during their 1988 visit because of the sister’s condition. The long reporting delay, uncertain day and limited childhood recollection remain central qualifications. The plate follows the small open-vehicle version rather than imposing a standard flying disc.
