Case description
On November 28, 1953, Pedro Serrate and Francisco de Assis Teixeira reportedly went duck hunting near Pedras Negras on the Guaporé River. The Lorenzens’ account places them in the Brazil–Bolivia border region: Teixeira waited beside the water while Serrate climbed a tree. Teixeira saw an unusual aircraft pass overhead and settle silently on the water about 150 feet away; Serrate was much closer.
Serrate described a craft about four metres long, two and a half wide and two high. It had a blue, basin-shaped lower hull, a glasslike vertical enclosure, a rounded roof, two curved rear tubes and a dolphin-tail-like rudder. He reported six occupants seated three on each side: four men and two women, young-looking, fair-skinned and red-haired, wearing thick dark-blue clothing.
When the occupants noticed him, the object reportedly departed almost instantly, without a gesture, smoke or audible noise. A newspaper reporter later described the hunters as deeply unsettled for the following week.
The imported abstract places the event in Bolivia and adds water pouring from pipes. The recovered translated testimony describes rear tubes but does not establish that discharge. The plate retains the distinctive blue enclosure and humanlike occupants without adding unsupported water-sampling activity.
