Wegierska Gora, Poland abduction report — July 1954

In early July 1954, an eleven-year-old girl went mushroom picking with four other children near Węgierska Górka, Poland, between 8 and 9 a.m. Separating from them near a clearing, she followed a light through the trees and found a horizontal cylindrical object hovering about a metre above the ground. She estimated its length at 60 metres; mist obscured its upper part. A humanlike figure stood beside an open doorway and four steps. Its close-fitting red or bright yellow suit covered its head except for the pale face, and a hump-like projection rose from its upper back. The girl climbed inside without stopping. In an aluminium-coloured square room, she perceived an instruction to stop. Shorter figures in grey suits stood facing wall consoles. Another perceived instruction told her to sit; she sat near a floor-to-ceiling grey column and lost consciousness. She next remembered the other children pulling her arm beside rocks in the clearing. It was about 4 p.m. They asked where she had been and said they had searched for her. She returned home without telling them the experience. She later declined hypnotic regression; the account contains no recalled journey during the intervening hours.
