Case description
The Trois-Fonds entry is associated with the locality of Bette in the Creuse during summer 1954. An anonymous employee of the Gibard factory at Boussac was reportedly cycling home along the RN 697 around nine in the evening when he noticed a luminous circle descend into a field beside the road.
Two apparently human figures emerged. The only distinctive equipment attributed to them was helmets fitted with antennas; the account supplies no dependable description of their faces, stature or clothing colors. Frightened, the cyclist tried to accelerate but felt as though he were pedaling without making progress, or being drawn toward the object. He eventually reached home after a detour and reportedly remained deeply shaken for several days.
The documentary trail is retrospective. J. G. Dohmen passed the story to the investigator writing as Jean d’Aigure, and the earliest certain publication identified by the source comparison dates from 1972. Investigators searching the area in the 1970 s could not locate the witness. Later catalogues assign different specific dates, while the underlying account supports only summer 1954. The episode should therefore retain its anonymous, delayed-report status rather than acquire a precise day or detailed alien anatomy through reconstruction.
