Case description
An anonymous farmer at Semons in the Isère region reportedly observed a disc-shaped object on or near his farm during the early part of October 1954. Later versions place the event at nightfall or around 10 p.m. The short narrative describes small humanlike figures near the object, followed by their return inside and a rapid departure, sometimes specified as vertical.
A distinctive element changed in transmission. Jean Sider’s version describes several beings making sounds like young calves. Albert Rosales’s later summary instead has calves bleating in a neighboring field and one small figure running into the object. Those are materially different descriptions of both the number of figures and the source of the sound. Neither version supplies resolved facial features, clothing, dimensions or an observation distance.
The case is linked to regional newspaper coverage and Lumières Dans la Nuit 319, published in 1993, with differing newspaper dates in subsequent references. The accessible dossier does not establish a substantive contemporary investigation or a named witness statement. Its classification as an occupant encounter records the reported association, not a demonstrated extraterrestrial identity. The illustration deliberately preserves unresolved figures and identifies the sound/count conflict instead of choosing one uncertain retelling as fact.
