Case description
Two men identified as M. Cassard and P. Voirin were reportedly ploughing near Bremondans, Doubs, on October 11, 1954, when an unusual object appeared nearby. The time is given as 6:40 p.m. in Hatch and approximately 6:45 in the newspaper-derived summary. The horses were said to have become frightened when the object was about twenty metres away.
Descriptions compare the object with a cigar-shaped saucer and give it yellowish and bluish colouring. The apparently contradictory shape wording belongs to the transmitted report and does not justify adding a detailed conventional disc hull. A figure was reportedly visible briefly, disappearing after about two minutes. The short account supplies no reliable face, clothing, height or precise location for that figure relative to the object.
Jean Sider traced the story to La République of Belfort, October 26, 1954; later summaries and Julien Gonzalez repeat the farmers’ names and figure claim. There is no accessible detailed investigation establishing a physical trace or explaining the horses’ behaviour independently. A later online heading incorrectly shifts the episode to November, while the source trail supports October. The plate keeps the blue-yellow elongated light and indistinct figure, leaving unreported structural and biological details unresolved.
