Mirage crew reports a bright light repeatedly following and departing

Mirage IV pilot Hervé Giraud and his navigator reportedly saw a very bright approaching light that followed at about 1,500 metres. The pilot turned sharply and the light departed at a speed described as supersonic without a sonic boom. Minutes later it returned and repeated the pattern.
