FB Formosa photographs

Official source account — 2016 annual report, printed page 17: The FB Formosa account concerns tiny luminous marks found in flash photographs taken in May 2011. CEFAE compared successive photographs and found that the marks maintained the same relative spacing. It concluded that they belonged to the camera system, such as illuminated dust or defects, rather than distant flying objects. The report also describes droplet-like orbs and one green pixel attributed to a permanent sensor defect. The summaries distinguish reported observations from the agency’s proposed explanations. Source Type A/B ratings describe explanatory confidence and are not encounter classes. The map uses an approximate GeoNames locality centroid, not the observation point.
