La Picada — Province of Entre Ríos

Official source account — 2020 annual report, printed page 135: A photographer at La Picada discovered two objects only when reviewing the image. CIAE examined a spindle-shaped body and yellow wings with dark borders, together with the pair's apparent formation. It proposed two day-flying moths, probably of the genus Thymelicus, crossing at exposure. The genus remained tentative. The agency classified the supported insect explanation Type B. The summaries distinguish reported observations from the agency’s proposed explanations. Source Type A/B ratings describe explanatory confidence and are not encounter classes. The map uses an approximate GeoNames locality centroid, not the observation point.
