CIAE compared two images taken six minutes apart using different focal lengths and found the point at the same sensor-relative position. Its extremely small size and persistent location supported a Type A explanation as a permanent camera-sensor defect, described as burnt pixels, rather than a luminous object belonging to the landscape.
