Facundo Quiroga nighttime lights — Mendoza, 15 June 2010

Official source account — 2023 annual report, printed page 91: Facundo Quiroga saw lights on a flying object over Mendoza and recorded video. CIAE described red, violet, blue and green lights alternating in sequence, together with a steady white light underneath. A frame faintly suggested a body with lights near its ends. The official report found the pattern compatible with a commercial drone carrying LEDs that indicated operating states. It explicitly noted that no sufficiently clear image of the body was obtained for complete identification, retaining the drone explanation as compatible rather than fully established. The summaries distinguish reported observations from the agency’s proposed explanations. Source Type A/B ratings describe explanatory confidence and are not encounter classes. The map uses an approximate GeoNames locality centroid, not the observation point.
