Official source account — 2020 annual report, printed page 5: The witness photographed and filmed a bright object passing below the Moon at Villa Club. Higher-resolution photographs resolved several closely spaced lights. Flight-tracking information and independent IPACO measurements produced closely agreeing camera-to-object distances. CIAE identified the lights as those of an Airbus A320 approaching runway 16 at El Palomar. Its Type A conclusion rested on the agreement between the aircraft track, geometry and light spacing.
