Víctor Miniello luminous object — Laguna La Salada, Buenos Aires Province, 30 September 2017

Official source account — 2023 annual report, printed page 129: Víctor Miniello saw and filmed a stationary luminous object from Laguna La Salada near Route 2. The video showed a lenticular-looking form with a small indentation along one edge. CIAE reconstructed the sky in Stellarium for the reported location, date and time. Both the position and illuminated shape matched the first-quarter Moon. The official report identified the single luminous object as the Moon, explaining the apparent outline through its phase rather than describing a separate structured craft. The summaries distinguish reported observations from the agency’s proposed explanations. Source Type A/B ratings describe explanatory confidence and are not encounter classes. The map uses an approximate GeoNames locality centroid, not the observation point.
