Carlos Paz sky observations

Official source account — 2015 annual report, printed page 5: The Carlos Paz account concerns objects observed and photographed on 1 January 2015. Using the witness's observation data, CEFAE reconstructed the sky in Stellarium. Its conclusion was that a combination of the ENVISAT satellite, the International Space Station and the variable star Beta Gruis occupied the relevant positions during the reported interval. The agency therefore interpreted the observations as several familiar astronomical and orbital objects. The summaries distinguish reported observations from the agency’s proposed explanations.
