Official source account — 2020 annual report, printed page 86: A photographer at Los Cocos noticed an unfamiliar object only after reviewing the image. Enlargement showed an elongated body with two central lateral projections compatible with transparent wing roots. CIAE considered it a flying insect accidentally captured during exposure. The agency assigned Type B because the apparent anatomy supported this explanation, while the fleeting passage could not be recreated or independently witnessed.
