Official source account — 2022 annual report, printed page 136: Luciano Busca's photograph from San Martín de los Andes, Neuquén, dated 3 April 2011 contained an object he had not noticed while taking the picture. CIAE found a yellow spindle-shaped body, a dark-blue rounded end and short projecting features compatible with tail, head and beak. The local bird Tachuris rubrigastra matched these colours and short tail. The report proposed a bird, very probably that species, crossing at exposure. It classified the explanation Type B because the brief event could not be reproduced or corroborated. The summaries distinguish reported observations from the agency’s proposed explanations. Source Type A/B ratings describe explanatory confidence and are not encounter classes. The map uses an approximate GeoNames locality centroid, not the observation point.
