Official source account — 2020 annual report, printed page 123: A video near Caleta Olivia's oil-worker monument showed a low object hovering, ascending and manoeuvring before returning toward its starting point. CIAE identified two pairs of red and green lights in selected frames, consistent with lights under a quadcopter's arms. The flight behaviour supported that interpretation. The agency concluded that the recording showed a drone operating at night and assigned Type A. The summaries distinguish reported observations from the agency’s proposed explanations. Source Type A/B ratings describe explanatory confidence and are not encounter classes. The map uses an approximate GeoNames locality centroid, not the observation point.
