Official source account — 2020 annual report, printed page 127: A Guardianes del Cielo observer filmed a plume-like phenomenon over San Juan late on 22 June. CIAE combined stellar-background measurements with orbital analysis and a three-dimensional trajectory supplied by a satellite specialist. It attributed the plume to residual propellant venting from a Chinese Long March 3 rocket launched from Xichang forty-seven minutes earlier. The agency recorded a Type A identification of a rocket-related phenomenon. The summaries distinguish reported observations from the agency’s proposed explanations. Source Type A/B ratings describe explanatory confidence and are not encounter classes. The map uses an approximate GeoNames locality centroid, not the observation point.
