María Chomiak — Mar del Plata, Province of Buenos Aires

Official source account — 2022 annual report, printed page 72: María Chomiak photographed the landscape at Mar del Plata on 6 December 2021 and noticed a luminous feature through her phone. CIAE inspected three lights in the central part of the image, focusing on the small orange point that had attracted her attention. Its colour matched an orange streetlight in the scene. Optical geometry confirmed an internal reflection of that lamp in the camera lens, leading to a Type A lens-flare conclusion. The summaries distinguish reported observations from the agency’s proposed explanations. Source Type A/B ratings describe explanatory confidence and are not encounter classes. The map uses an approximate GeoNames locality centroid, not the observation point.
