Official source account — 2020 annual report, printed page 113: Soraya Contrera supplied a photograph showing four luminous objects in its upper portion. CIAE connected each with a corresponding strong light in the lower part of the image. All four pairs followed the symmetrical geometry of internal lens reflections. The agency concluded that the upper lights were optical ghosts of the lower sources, rather than independently photographed objects, and classified the explanation Type A. The summaries distinguish reported observations from the agency’s proposed explanations. Source Type A/B ratings describe explanatory confidence and are not encounter classes. The map uses an approximate GeoNames locality centroid, not the observation point.
