Oscar Miño — City of Buenos Aires

Official source account — 2022 annual report, printed page 87: Oscar Miño found a white object while reviewing video of a commercial aircraft taking off at Buenos Aires. CIAE proposed the Moon, whose high northwestern position and 26.3 percent illuminated crescent matched a reconstruction for 5 January 2014. The witness could not remember the exact filming date or time, but recalled a hot summer day with people in short sleeves. The report therefore retained Type B status: the Moon explanation was supported, while the date printed in the case heading remained an inferred possibility. The summaries distinguish reported observations from the agency’s proposed explanations. Source Type A/B ratings describe explanatory confidence and are not encounter classes. The map uses an approximate GeoNames locality centroid, not the observation point.
