Official source account — 2020 annual report, printed page 140: Javier Pinto photographed a cylindrical object moving steadily across the sky during an approximately ninety-second observation. CIAE compared its appearance with commercially available helium balloons, checked that it moved with the prevailing wind and detected a hanging string in both photographs. It concluded that the object was a released or escaped cylindrical helium balloon. The agency classified this explanation Type A.
