Capilla del Monte rod-like video trace

Official source account — 2018 annual report, printed page 20: A Capilla del Monte witness found an elongated apparent object while reviewing video dated 11 April 2018. CEFAE identified repeated projections from a central body and interpreted the shape as a nearby insect's motion trace, commonly called a flying rod. The recording exposure could capture two complete wingbeat cycles in one elongated image. The explanation concerns image formation rather than a solid rod-shaped craft. The summaries distinguish reported observations from the agency’s proposed explanations. Source Type A/B ratings describe explanatory confidence and are not encounter classes. The map uses an approximate GeoNames locality centroid, not the observation point.
