Gastón Apesteguía photograph

Official source account — 2016 annual report, printed page 21: Gastón Apesteguía submitted a photograph taken at Colón on 6 January 2013 showing an apparently flat circular object. CEFAE compared details of its rim and a notch with wooden beach-tejo pieces visible in another photograph associated with the witnesses. The agency concluded that one of those pieces had been thrown into the air. It separately noted a blurred central mark that might be a passing bird or insect. The summaries distinguish reported observations from the agency’s proposed explanations. Source Type A/B ratings describe explanatory confidence and are not encounter classes. The map uses an approximate GeoNames locality centroid, not the observation point.
