Official source account — 2016 annual report, printed page 40: Fabián Lefebvre submitted a Buenos Aires photograph dated 10 May 2012 with a bright object near its left edge. CEFAE applied optical geometry and found that the line joining the anomaly to the Sun passed through the image center. The agency concluded that it was internal lens flare. The published entry supplies a photographic analysis without a longer account of independently observed flight behavior. The summaries distinguish reported observations from the agency’s proposed explanations. Source Type A/B ratings describe explanatory confidence and are not encounter classes.
